To the teachers, art education major and spanish minor?
What I want to know is, if it’s okay to minor in a subject and be able to teach it. I am majoring in art education but minoring in spanish. I am worried for finding a job as an art teacher and decided to minor in spanish in case some school districts do allow teaching a the subject one has happened to minor in.

If your an art education major, youll get your license. Its much easier in this case, as you can do a dual license with your state- youll still need to pass your testing in each subject area- but you should be fine with doing this yes.
