I had the answer once, but lost it. I know it’s a by a Doyle, possible a relative of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but I don’t recall the full artist name and painting title and date.

Richard ‘Dickie’ Doyle was one of the most popular illustrators of the Victorian era and related Arthur Conan Doyle. Perhaps through the links you can find your piece as he was very prolific!
