Photoshop cs4 – Put an image into “pattern stamp tool” menu list?
I just went to a photoshop seminar and got this workbook. I was trying to do one of the effects from the book which is turning an image into a painting. Here are some of the steps- “once the file is open, go to the history panel and choose “new snapshot”. This is to ensure we have the original version of the file save so we can paint it back in later. Hold one the clone stamp tool to reveal the pattern stamp tool. Go into the options bar the mean. Locate the image we defined before. It will be at the bottom of the list.” I was following these steps and just couldn’t see the image in my pattern stamp list. Am I missing some step??

Perhaps your pattern didn’t get defined.
• Select the image or portion of the image to be assigned as a pattern.
• Edit > Define Pattern
• Click OK
The new pattern should show up at the bottom of the pattern list. Be advised that it can be more than one page long. You may have to scroll down to see it.
