The first signs of personality traits in young children?
I put the boy-girl twins and I am a first time mother. I always wonder what is the personality and what is between the sexes – in some respects, they are opposite of what you expect! My daughter is very stupid physical and even emotional drama (for better or for worse). My son seems very sensitive – emotionally cries over things more easily than her sister, he seems more relaxed too. At present, 27 months, it is much more interested in taking the time to color on paper. It will some shopping and take action for something else. He will fill the entire document. Do you think that means he is more inclined to art, for example? And she is more inclined to athletics? I wonder! I get the impression that it is too early to say, but as I said, I am a first timer and just curious.
I think the personality of a child is there from the beginning but children are strongly influenced from external sources (eg school, peers) that makes it difficult to determine whether their current interests as they continue age.
