What are some good videos to watch teaching oil painting techniques?

I am sorry I have to say this, If you want to paint mediocre paintings watch Bob Ross or that one stroke painting painting lady. If you really want to learn how to paint there are WAY better choices out there. I just purchased a video from Timothy Tyler today as a matter of fact:

Find artists you like and see if they have a video. Also there are some great free videos on youtube. Here is an awesome one:

Don’t just watch a video. There is more detailed info in books. I have been researching painting techniques for the last 6 years and this is one of the best books I have found:

What are your techniques for painting clouds in acrylic or oil?

With oils, I put the cover on a flat surface and spread widely on the turpentine, as you would a watercolor, then I wash in the clouds and let them train themselves. Then I look over and see what is best in cloud forms that are most pleasing to me and go to their subject, stressing that claims. Of course it is the very first objects Personally, I place in a landscape so I have lots of leeway everything up anyway I see fit. With acrylics I use the same method as the colors of the water … just wash it and watch what happens. Do not try work on your table too early, however, expect that the work to dry first or you may end up with mud. I work on three of the four paintings at a time, so I do not mind waiting so much. I always something I can turn to keep me busy and then so fly and before I know it's dry and ready for me to return again.
