BSI Presents Supply Chain Security Risk and Compliance Webinar June 9, 2010
Best Approaches to Managing Supply Chain Security Risk and Compliance is a free webinar present by BSI on Wednesday June 9, 2010 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm ET. Learn how to develop a best-in-class Supply Chain Security compliance program. The session will highlight global trade security compliance gaps and review cargo incident trends which have led to program decertification with the U.S. C-TPAT, European Union’s AEO and Canada’s PIP programs.
These programs, along with others being implemented in accordance with the World Customs Organization’s SAFE Framework of Standards, contain mandatory provisions for:
- § Managing compliance among suppliers and business partners and
- § Uniformly identifying and mitigating security risk
BSI will review how companies are using BSI’s Supplier Compliance Manager – which incorporates its patented supplier risk algorithm and proprietary supply chain disruption, terrorism, transportation mode exposures – to conduct “total risk” supplier assessments and maintain ongoing supplier control and program compliance.

About the Speaker:
Beth Adams is recognized as a supply chain compliance specialist in the import/export community. In 2007, Beth founded Adams Consulting, a niche, network-based firm that specialized in helping enterprises of all sizes build and improve their internal import/export compliance programs. Beth previously served as Assistant Director for the University of Georgia’s Center for International Trade and Security, a think-tank for research on export controls. She also worked with a Fortune 500 company for over a decade, managing and developing global transportation, regulatory compliance, and distribution programs; in 2000 she earned the prestigious Johnson & Johnson Chairman’s Award for “innovative excellence.” Beth joined BSI America in 2009 and now serves as the company’s Supply Chain Security Program Manager.
