What are the learning activities and crafts that I can do with my 21 months.?
I am now a housewife and you want to engage my daughter more one to one activities. She is quite intelligent for his age and knows most of all his letters and their sounds, and it to learn his colors. We have an art easel, chalk, pencils, markers, construction paper, toys, etc.. Any ideas would be great!
Our daughter is 21 months, too. She loves the color – most recently, I was starting a picture and let him finish it (like I'm going to an oval, and ask him to put eyes, nose, mouth and hair above). We also have a sticker book, similar to those in the link below – these are actual photos, and you need to paste the stickers in the right place. Some pages have shadows of objects to correspond with, some have partial images that you have to finish with a sticker, etc. She loves it (and it is surprisingly good at it!). She loves stickers of all kinds, really. Play-Doh is another favorite of my daughter. She asked I usually make a baby clay, and she made a bed and a blanket for him. Sometimes I hide her little plastic animals with a game-paste and she guessed what it is before "unpacking" it. It is a little obsessed with the song Happy Birthday, so sometimes I make party hats for her little animals, and we sing "Happy Birthday, dear elephant" or something else. She also likes things to glue (I used to put glue in a small cap, and give a Q-tip to spread with it), Fingerpaint she loves and she loves to paint with a brush as well. The possibilities are endless! We usually incorporate learning into fun projects as well as "Can you give the blue-eyed face?" or I'll write a few words on a piece of paper and ask them to circle the one that says mom (she usually just scribble on it!).
