Hope , in the future school shall be replaced with ateliers according to everybody’s aptitudes and reason?
JJ Rousseau ansd Erasmus of Roterdam have said that a child should learn according to his aptitudes.Nowadays a child is forced even from 7 Years old to learn mathematics , although he preffers to paint , and painting is a huge mathematics and reason.Actually.Other mathematicians are not able to draw and paint a man to look like a man .Maybe like a giraffe .
As an elementary teacher, I think it’s important to allow children to explore topics and ideas that spark their interest. However, young children (and people in general) don’t really know what they are interested in if they’re not exposed to it. How can a child know that he/she is interested in astronomy or physics if he/she is never given the opportunity to explore them.
I am also a believer that most people only have the capacity to learn certain things in depth. For example, some people are amazing writers, but they can’t do math. It’s the left brain/right brain conundrum.
